As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services. Your expertise in animal care will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Duties

• Perform grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming techniques and products.
• Handle pets safely and effectively, employing proper animal restraint techniques as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
• Communicate with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and any observations regarding their health or behavior.
• Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their concerns or questions.
• Stay informed about the latest trends in pet grooming and care to enhance service offerings.

Experience

• Previous experience in pet grooming is mandatory; at least 2 years experience. Training may be provided for the right candidate.
• Skills in animal handling, veterinary assistance, or veterinary technician roles are highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or during cleaning tasks.
• Familiarity with pet care practices, including knowledge of various breeds' grooming requirements.
• Experience with animal restraint techniques is beneficial to ensure the safety of both pets and groomers.

Pay: $500.00 - $1,175.00 per week

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
