The Scientist is an integral part of our Quality team based out of our US - State College, PA site.
Position Details
The Scientist will independently conduct sample preparation and instrumental analysis for bulk, premix and feed samples according to documented procedures. Participate in method development and validations. Perform instrument maintenance, repair and qualifications. Additional responsibilities may include sample login, waste disposal and sample processing. The scientist is expected to work independently, train others and organize their tasks in an efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce quality data in an efficient manner through sample extraction and analysis
- Organize work so that tasks are completed in order to meet the needs of the business and in the most efficient manner possible.
- Train others in analytical techniques
- Perform in investigations and instrument qualification
- Participate in method development and validations
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of equipment
- Present data for review in an appropriate format
- Monitor laboratory supplies for replacement or replenishment
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or relevant field
- Associate degree or High School Diploma is accepted with 4 years relevant experience
- Experience with microbiological lab techniques is required
