As a Business Development Manager focused on the international military sector, your primary responsibility is to identify and capitalize on business opportunities within the defense and military industry. You will lead strategic initiatives to establish and expand the company's presence in the international military market, develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, and secure contracts or partnerships that drive revenue growth.
Key Position Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with key military aerospace customers, including government agencies and prime contractors. This includes US and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) services.
Engage in regular interactions with existing customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure Customer satisfaction.
Identify and cultivate new customer prospects through networking and targeted outreach.
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products thereby increasing revenue and improved win rate. Develop strategies to expand the scope of engagement and generate new business leads. Understand the client’s Customer’s requirements and challenges to effectively recommend products, services, or solutions that can address their needs.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the proposed solutions align with Customer’s expectations.
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Define short-term and long-term business development plans, including market penetration and growth strategies. Identify potential partnerships and collaborations to enhance the company's military aerospace portfolio.
Define clear goals and metrics for success, including revenue targets, market share growth, and customer acquisition.
Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential competitors within the military aerospace industry.
Analyze market data and assess the competitive landscape to determine opportunities and threats.
Lead the preparation and submission of proposals in response to military contracts and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposals meet technical requirements and budget constraints.
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with military customers.
Educate the Customer about Rhinestahl’s capabilities and build advocates for our team. Build Customer relationships by regularly communicating to provide updates, share relevant information, and maintain an open line of communication. Conduct regular check-ins and meetings to review project progress, gather feedback, and ensure Customer satisfaction.
Prepare regular reports on account status, project progress, and revenue forecasts using Salesforce.
Work closely with cross-functional teams and the leadership team to support military-related projects by sharing the Voice of the Customer (VOC).
Stay current with government regulations, export controls, and compliance requirements related to military contracts.
This position will require about 25% international travel
