Applications Development Director directs all activities and develops policies and procedures related to the design, analysis, testing, coding, and implementation of applications. Enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Being an Applications Development Director oversees review of development proposals, projects, timelines, resources, and costs. Develops feedback processes for peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Additionally, Applications Development Director establishes a performance culture by incorporating individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence. May develop and manage outsourcing budgets, vendor relationships, or off-shore resources. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Applications Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Applications Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     About the Role:

    The Finance Director will play a critical role in strategic financial planning and management to help achieve our organizational goals. This position will report directly to the Executive Director and will be essential in budget management, financial forecasting, ensuring the financial health of our organization, and assisting with other areas of organizations within BCDC. This position will manage the financial operations of multiple organizations under the umbrella of Bowman County Development Corporation, including Roosevelt Custer Regional Council.

    Here’s What You’ll Do Day-to-Day:

    • Oversee financial operations and develop strategies to ensure the financial health of the corporation.
    • Prepare detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
    • Manage the corporation’s budget, financial forecasts, and investments.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
    • Work closely with management to share reports and analysis findings.
    • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
    • Oversee and manage the fiscal aspects of grant administration, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with grantor guidelines.
    • Track and report on business incentives, ensuring accurate and timely documentation and fulfillment of related financial metrics.
    • Manage the repayment process for loans, maintaining precise records of payment schedules, received payments, and outstanding balances.
    • Ensure rigorous financial oversight and reporting for all transactions related to grants, incentives, and loans to uphold transparency and accountability.
    • Work alongside team members and organizations supported by BCDC to ensure success for all aspects of the organization.

    Here’s What We’re Looking For:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • Proven experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the non-profit sector.
    • Strong analytical skills and experience creating strategic financial plans.
    • Ability to work with various departments and foster a collaborative team environment.
    • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
