    Responsibilities of the Programmer Analyst:

    • Provide technical support for installed administrative software.
    • Provide expertise in programming and design tools necessary to create or extend software solutions in support of the Institute’s ERP systems.
    • Provide functional understanding of the design, configuration, and modification of relational database software.
    • Work with end users and translate their functional requirements into technical specifications.
    • You will have collaboration opportunities and work with Project Management in support of campus-wide software initiatives.

    Qualified candidates will have:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and one year of relevant work experience is required.
    • Proficiency of at least one structured programming language, experience or coursework in data structures and data manipulation, and experience or coursework in object-oriented design concepts or Web Service architecture required.
    • Must be able to read, understand, and implement procedures described in technical and functional user guides.
    • Must be able to work with users to define, implement, review, and validate complex functional solutions.
    • The ability to produce documentation that can be used by novice and expert users is necessary.
    • In addition to the required qualifications, preferred candidates will also have three years of relevant experience.
    • Experience collaborating with senior technical professionals, planning, and implementing custom software solutions, and providing proactive recommendations to the organization is preferred.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills are strongly desired.
