We are deeply engrained in our neighborhoods and work with many local partners to provide experiences and tell our stories – be it at food drives, music festivals, skate tournaments, dance contests, basketball games, or in one of our 700 state-of-the-art doors. To ensure our stories have reach, we also regularly work with global partners such as our Chief Creative Office DJ Khaled, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, or brands such as Sony PlayStation and Sprite.

We entered the US market in 2019 through two acquisitions and have been extremely well-received by our communities, customers, and brand partners. We completed our third acquisition at the end of 2021, and in March 2022 acquired a fourth company in the US. We are geared up to invest more in our communities, our brand, and points of sale to unlock further growth across the US.

Overview: Reporting to the Creative Director, the Art Director will be responsible for developing creative solutions from concept to final output in print and digital. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of current design trends in retail, entertainment and fashion, and the ability to lead a team of talented designers. The Ideal candidate has a genuine passion for and deep understanding of the entertainment marketing and design landscape, showcasing an affinity for marketing and entertainment. Lives within the zeitgeist of entertainment, music, street fashion, and sneaker culture and street art.

Responsibilities:

Visual Brand Development:

• Lead the development and implementation of visual brand strategies for retail, social, events and apparel products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
Design a high volume of brand-relevant web, print and email graphics with a quick turn-around including but not limited to: Homepage and landing page images, email blasts, affiliate banners, mobile layouts, event flyers, brand videos, social media graphics and in-store signage using Adobe Photoshop, In-Design, and Illustrator

Creative Direction:

• Provide creative direction for marketing campaigns, product launches, promotional materials, and social first initiatives.
• Conceptualize and execute visually stunning designs that resonate with SNIPES target audience.
Develop new creative ideas for print and web that are relevant to the brand.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Set clear creative expectations and provide constructive feedback to elevate the team's performance.
• Communicate often via email to obtain up-to-date information.
• Be pro-active within a team environment and help to problem solve.
Maintain organization, professionalism, and patience under pressure.

Retail Marketing:

• Oversee the design of POS marketing, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing in-store experience.
Collaborate with designers and store operations for brand appropriate solutions

Graphic Apparel Design:

• Drive the creative direction for merch, considering market trends and consumer preferences.
Work closely with the production vendors and designers to ensure designs are production ready.

Market Research:

• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences to inform design decisions.
Utilize market insights to continuously evolve and improve the brand's visual language.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Art, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Art Director in retail and Graphic design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects with measurable impact.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong skills in typography and Illustration
• Active in sneaker culture and understanding of the target audience.
• Expert level in Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, Illustrator, In Design, PowerPoint, Dreamweaver, HTML.
• Experience in After Effects and Premiere, Excel, E-commerce web design.
• Photoshoot art direction experience.
• Proven experience in multiple phases of the design process, including ideation, design development, and execution.
• Must be able to work from a PC.
• Online portfolio required for consideration.
