Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly ballet, and experience working with students of all ages. This role involves teaching dance techniques, fostering creativity, and promoting a love for movement in a supportive environment. The Dance Instructor will play a key role in shaping the artistic development of our students while ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging dance lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
• Teach various dance styles with a focus on ballet, while incorporating elements from theater and early childhood education.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and confidence among students.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and techniques.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management strategies to maintain a focused learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create interdisciplinary programs that may include culinary arts or special education components.
• Organize and participate in recitals, performances, and community outreach programs to showcase student progress.
• Maintain an inclusive environment that supports students with diverse backgrounds, including those in preschool or special education settings.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dance instructor or similar role, with expertise in ballet being essential.
• Background in theater or performing arts is highly desirable.
• Experience working with students of various ages, particularly in early childhood education settings.
• Strong understanding of behavior management techniques to effectively engage students.
• Ability to create lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and learning styles.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• A passion for dance and teaching, with the ability to foster a love for movement among students.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all learners.
