Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Director to join our team. As the Development Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our organization's mission. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for making a difference in the community.

Duties:
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans to meet organizational goals
- Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities through grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations
- Manage donor database and ensure accurate record keeping
- Coordinate fundraising events and campaigns
- Conduct research on potential funding sources and stay updated on industry trends
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling fundraising materials
- Provide regular reports on fundraising progress to the executive team

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Proven experience in fundraising or development roles
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer Proficiency including Microsoft Office and Google drive
- Ability to work on a team and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and techniques
- Strategic planning skills to develop long-term fundraising strategies
- Proficiency in managing databases (e.g., donor management systems) helpful
- Familiar with local community members
