Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Automation Assembly Operator include the following:
- Robotic grippers
- Rotary units
- Linear actuator
- Basic drilling/milling at machines for modification of components.
- Assemble & modify product fixtures.
- Support day to day production activities to help meet customer product demand.
- Inspect, test, trouble shoot and diagnose products or mechanical systems.
- Read blueprints to diagnose and make repairs including but not limited to exploded views, follow prints to assembly, read tolerances
- Maintain clean and orderly workstation through SCHUNK 5S program.
- Follow all SCHUNK production safety rules and policies.
- Participate in the SCHUNK Quality Improvement Program.
- Perform other duties or projects when requested by SCHUNK management.
Requirements:
Qualifications for Automation Assembly Operator:
- Understanding of the system engineering process as it relates to use and service of SCHUNK products.
- Exceptional technical problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Must work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to develop an understanding of the component manufacturing and sales industry and SCHUNK product lines.
Education and/or Experience for Automation Assembly:
- A high school diploma is required. Prefer a minimum of 1 years’ experience in assembly of components in the manufacturing sector.
- Understanding of blueprints, sketches, drawings, and manuals. Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- High attention to detail
Language Skills for Automation Assembly Operator:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret highly technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to trouble-shoot in the field and communicate with cross-functional team to resolve problems.
- Ability to read and understand contracts and agreements.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with employees, customers and suppliers.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employee, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills for Automation Assembly Operator:
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability for Automation Assembly Operator:
- Ability to identify and define complex design and engineering problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to read and interpret an extensive variety of diagrams, blueprints, specifications and technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form used to solve service and application problems.
