Job Description: The Assistant Editor has a leadership role in developing Northern Woodlands’ editorial content. They work with the Editor and other staff on a variety of editorial tasks, including but not limited to the following: participating in magazine story development, obtaining photos and artwork, editing and writing magazine articles, reviewing magazine layouts, and developing and managing various aspects of online content, as described more fully below and including managing the weekly series The Outside Story. This is a dynamic role, and as time allows, may include special editorial projects.
Time: 40 hours a week, schedule flexible and subject to change in coordination with the Executive Director. On average, one work day per week will take place in the Lyme office.
