Enforce NCAA, conference, and University of Arizona Athletics rules through creating and maintaining institutional controls for compliance:
Oversee creating and maintaining institutional control in all aspects of NCAA, Conference, and University of Arizona Athletics rules compliance.
Lead the development, review, updating, and implementation of athletics compliance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with institutional, NCAA, and conference regulations.
Ensure effective dissemination and implementation of compliance policies across all university departments.
Manage, in conjunction with the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Compliance, the annual NCAA Sport Sponsorship report development and submission.
Develop strategies for rules education and self reports to minimize negative impact to department and University.
Oversee infraction monitoring, self reporting, and violation inquiries.
Lead investigations of known and/or alleged rules violations, keep the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Compliance informed of all alleged and known violations, and handle all correspondence with the NCAA and affiliated conferences regarding rules violations and follow-up responses.
Provide NCAA rules education and interpretation programs for administrators, coaches, support staff, student-athletes, booster groups, campus partners/constituents that promotes a culture of compliance and institutional control.
Collaborate with senior management to integrate compliance requirements into strategic planning.
Oversee rule implementations for each sport, related to training, practices, and competition, including rules education meetings with all coaches and support staff, ensuring they are aware of updated rules and regulations from the NCAA, and meeting with student-athletes to prepare them for rule changes.
Research policy guidelines and educate others on rules management to ensure proper reporting and rules education training.
Manage updated compliance for all staff, ensuring they are passing their rules education testing and maintaining a passing grade throughout their career.
Design and adjust workflows in ARMS to incorporate all necessary departments within the athletics department to effectively monitor and streamline various processes and procedures.
Educate staff on the use of ARMS to ensure all travel logistics, practices, and games are confirmed in the ARMS system to ensure proper rules are followed with eligible hour availability.
Influence reporting features and requirements in ARMS to ensure all by-laws are followed and reviewed weekly to ensure compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
Ensure all coaches are accounted for before each competition and recruiting event and trips.
Oversee various monitoring systems and processes in the areas of recruiting, initial eligibility, awards and benefits, financial aid, playing and practice seasons, and personnel.
Direct others in the use of monitoring systems and in proper audit protocol for bylaw infractions.
Manage monitoring systems to ensure data entry is accurate, reliable, and timely, and monitor reports to ensure zero infractions.
Oversee the duties and performance of the law school externs.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced ability with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet, and email.
