The CSCC Assistant Director is responsible for assisting in providing management, leadership and direction for the center. Primary responsibilities include: assisting in overall daily management, leadership, supervision and development for the children, assisting with organization of the children folders and material, and providing assistance throughout the building for children and staff as needed. A passion for the mission of the organization is a key for success.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:30am-6:30pm
Pay is negotiable based off of experiance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reinforce and lead an environment focused on empowerment and continuous improvement. Lead the center with honesty and mutual respect for all employees and families enrolled in the center. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and personal responsibility to staff, children, and parents.
Assist in overseeing the daily classroom activities and schedules throughout the building. Encourage staff members to create an effective and creative learning environment while providing high quality care and education for the children.
Having regular attendance as scheduled and being flexible with working hours as designated by the Director of the center.
Assist in managing the opening/closing routines of the center as scheduled by the Director.
Ensuring all proper opening/closing jobs and duties are completed by staff members and yourself.
Assisting in managing the waitlist to maintain maximum capacity and attain appropriate ratios within the classrooms.
Ensure that all child folders are up to date and comply with licensing standards.
Ensure that all child immunization records are up to date and properly filed in the child’s folders.
Ensure all paperwork is properly filed in a timely manner.
Provide a weekly supply list for the building as well as the individual classrooms to the owner no later than Wednesday of each week.
Assist in the classrooms as scheduled to allow time for the Lead Teachers to prep and create lesson plans.
Assist the classroom teachers with any behavioral instances that would arise with the children.
Assist in properly documenting all behavioral instances as needed.
Ensure consistent application of all CSCC policies and procedures.
Assist in planning and implement procedures for fire and weather related emergencies. Conduct regular practice drills as required.
Report any conditions that create an unsafe situation for staff or children.
Assist in providing key fobs for new families and staff members as needed.
Assist in conducting tours of facilities for prospective families when spots are available. Act as an advocate for services and promote enrollment.
Assist in guiding parents through the enrollment process, annual form updates; ensuring all childcare records are accurate and complete.
