Position Overview

The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Controller to endure accurate and timely financial reporting to both local senior management and corporate. This position is critical to the month-end closing financial closing process.

What you'll do

• Prepare Journal entries, account reconciliations, and documentation of account analysis.
• Professional level accounting duties according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Preform month-end and year end closing activities
• Perform internal audits of financial-related activities and recording findings in support of internal audit requirements.
• Monitor ERP transactional activity for compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned

Who you are

• Bachelors' degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 5 years accounting financial reporting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have ERP financial software reporting experience.
• Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures withing the accounting and finance field.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player, managing multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting strict and demanding deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving skills, interpersonal, organizational, time management and analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
