Somafina LLC is looking for a accounting professional with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Applicant must have excellent technology skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Quick Books and Fishbowl are a plus.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

· Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.

· Support the Controller in managing the general ledger and month-end close process.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

· Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during financial audits.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.

· Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

· Review and ensure the correct posting of entries by other staff members.

· Provide support for special projects as assigned.

· Assist in the guidance and training of staff.

Education Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; with at least 2 years related quality experience in a financial environment.
· CPA/CMA 

· Advanced understanding of financial and accounting principles.

· Excellent written communication, interpersonal, organizational and project management skills.

· Prior manufacturing environments a plus.

· English Proficiency required.
