The Assistant Controller works under the guidance of and assists the Controller in preparing and reporting financial statements accurately and timely. This position is responsible for Malarkey's growing organization's day-to-day and month-end accounting functions. This position will manage and supervise the accounting team while improving existing procedures and creating new processes aligned to scale with the Company.

Knowledge, Education, and Experience

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field is required. A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience in either a large public accounting firm or a sophisticated corporate environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role, is also required. A CPA is preferred, as is experience in the manufacturing industry.

Demonstrated and extensive knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced MS Excel skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamix AX/D365, Workday Adaptive, Power BI, and Google Suite preferred.

Must excel in a deadline-oriented environment and demonstrate a high level of competence in organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Demonstrated ability to work independently within interpretive guidelines, take initiative, and perform effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment; strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent responsive customer service focus and great team player; high level of skills in handling sensitive and confidential situations and information with the demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
