Excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with at least 5 years of management experience in the credit union/banking industry.
Ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience in banking and/or credit union retail management. This individual will be responsible for the daily operations of our office, provide a superior level of service to members in various account transactions, loan applications and establishing new accounts. This individual will also provide leadership and supervision to all personnel as well as resolving member issues and concerns within established guidelines and manages the safety and security of the office.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Takes full responsibility for the operations of the office.
Supervise all daily activities and maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff.
Assists with job duties that ensure the growth, profitability and overall success of the Credit Union. Participates in internal and external promotional campaigns.
Meets with members to ascertain their financial service needs. Explains and promotes the Credit Union’s products and services. Opens new accounts. Performs all account administrative and maintenance functions for share accounts, term certificates, checking accounts, IRAs, direct deposits.
Responsible for the Debit and Credit card portfolios. Card ordering and maintenance of all accounts. Processes fraud claims and disputes, working closely with the member. Works with servicer to adjust account discrepancies.
Supervises, trains, and develops staff. Delegates work and monitors for completion. Reviews work for timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of information. Provides assistance and performs related tasks as needed. Works with Management to evaluate staff performance on an ongoing basis. As appropriate, advises exceptional performance or development needs of staff members. Recommends disciplinary action when necessary. Encourages attendance at voluntary training programs to enhance personal skills. Reviews literature and attends meetings and seminars. Ensures effective office communication.
Assist Member Service Reps and performs all teller related issues, when the need arises. End of day balancing of tellers, checks and money machine.
Interviews and takes applications for all consumer loans and mortgages.
Responsible for underwriting all consumer loans, mortgages and equity loans.
Coordinates the origination and underwriting of mortgage and home equity loans. Orders and reviews appraisals. Analyzes credit reports. Reviews applications, and obtains required documentation. Ensures the timely generation and mailing of required disclosure materials.
Participates in loan closings. Interacts with attorneys. Attends closings that take place at the Credit Union. Disburses proceeds.
Assembles all mortgage and home equity loan files. Follows-up on missing items.
Maintains a current and detailed understanding of past-due loan accounts, focusing on individual situations and overall trends. Communicates applicable information to management.
Monitors the status of property insurance premiums.
Completes required training and ensures compliance as it pertain to the job position.
Review policies and procedures. Ensure that the credit union is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies.
