Assistant Branch Manager

    Assist Management with the overall operation of the credit union branch.  Understand and execute our Mission and Vision statements.  Assume responsibility for the branch when the branch manager, or operational management are absent.


    Education:  A two year college degree or equivalent experience


    Experience:  Three to five years of similar or related experience


    This is a full-time position with an excellent benefit package

    Requirements

    • Operation of the branch.  Possess full knowledge of credit union's products, services, policies and procedures, rules and regulations
    • Branch security at all levels including opening/closing of the facility and the vault
    • Support the Branch Manager in achieving daily goals
    • Maintain contact with current and new members; assist them with lending, member service or transaction needs.  Assumes the same rotation in serving members as other branch staff.  Assist staff or members in solving complex account issues
    • Meets all established sales and service goals, ethically referring appropriate products and services to the membership
    • Use systems as intended with a focus on CRM for members
    • Ensure branch staff receives ongoing training, and are up-to-date on all security and operational procedures.  Apply these policies and procedures in the operation of the branch
    • Provide input for performance reviews of branch staff
    • Coach and develop the frontline branch team through consistent, productive feedback
    • Attend to after-hours, or non-routine branch needs such as, but not limited to, ATM, security and/or other facility outages and needs
    • Other duties as assigned

    Work Environment:

    Job requires little physical effort and is basically a desk assignment.  Work creates moderate to heavy stress during certain periods.  Job does not have specific volume and pace of work standards except that the job includes specific deadlines.  Job requires extensive contact with managers, employees, members, outside companies and vendors on a continual basis.  This work requires the following physical activities:  sitting, standing, walking, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.  The work is performed primarily indoors.
