Job Summary
The candidate will assist with all aspects of the Strength and Conditioning Program. The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach must be able to lead team workouts and provide a safe, effective and efficient training environment. In addition to the operation and facilitation of strength and conditioning, the candidate must also be willing to attend seminars, clinics and conventions in the field of Athletic Performance and Sports Medicine for professional growth. They also must be able to work with a diverse population.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs for all assigned intercollegiate athletic teams
- Administer testing and performance measures for each team
- Teach proper techniques, and safety for all lifts and movement drills
- Implement and enforce all rules, policies and procedures of the Strength & Conditioning Facility
- Assist with other sport programs and the consistent operation of the training facility as required by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
- Coordinate teams training schedules by corresponding with coaches and team leaders
- Help foster a positive and constructive training atmosphere
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution in Exercise Science or related field
- Nationally recognized training certification (NSCA-CSCS, CSCCa-SCCC, NCSF-CSC, USAW-1)
- Work experience in the field of fitness/strength and conditioning/athletics
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to teach movements patterns and exercise technique
- Experience with digital programming platforms and data tracking
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.12 - $25.06 per hour
Expected hours: 22 – 26 per week
