Assistant Golf Course Superintendent jobs in the United States

The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent supervises personnel and participates in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths. Assists the Superintendent in the overall maintenance and care of the golf course, including turf/grass management, irrigation, and chemical applications (e.g., fertilizer, pesticides) to ensure quality playing conditions. Being an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent may serve in the Superintendent's capacity during absence. Ensures adherence to golf course maintenance budget and capital plans. In addition, Assistant Golf Course Superintendent may require an associate's degree. Typically reports to the golf course superintendent. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.
