Job Summary:

As a Store Manager in Training, will be trained to operate as a Store Manager where you are ultimately responsible for the profitability and day-to-day operations of a 24/7 convenience retail store. Operational oversight includes scheduling, training, leading, and developing approximately 20 store associates. You also drive the facility conditions, food service execution, superior customer service, and quality products to meet operational objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Proactively hire to ensure staffing levels are maintained; trains and develops associates providing appropriate support and resources as needed.
• Promotes an ethical workplace culture of recognition and appreciation based on performance expectations.
• Drives people and profit through training initiatives that adhere to operational goals and tools provided.
• Responsible for executing on business objectives and maintaining overall company standards, customer service standards and representing the company brand/image expectations.
• Drives excellence in Food Service by executing processes, implementing goals to increase sales and margin, product quality, and the utilization of training resources.
• Ensures and promotes a safe workplace and safe product handling by supporting safety training initiatives and counseling direct reports as necessary.
• Maintains compliance with legal and regulatory compliance including, but not limited to OSHA, DOL, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• 4-year college degree is preferred, as is some retail experience as a supervisor or manager.
• 2 or more years of retail, customer service, sales, operations, P&L and/or related experience is required.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, including early morning, overnight and weekend shifts.
• Ability to transfer to other locations within the area.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the role and the company.

Travel

• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to store locations as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Yes, approximately 20 associates.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the assigned shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds constantly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling may be occasionally required.
• May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
• Constant state of alertness and ability to perform in a safe manner.
