Terminal Operations Manager

  • Dartmouth Transportation Company is seeking a Terminal Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy terminal in Lebanon, NH. The Terminal Manager, who will report directly to the General Manager, will oversee full- and part-time ticket agents, janitorial/grounds staff, and bus detailers.

    The schedule for this postion is Tuesday - Saturday.

    Pay is negotiable based on experience

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Managing daily paperwork to include running and reconciling daily sales reports, making bank deposits, and entering information into spreadsheets to send to Senior Management
    • Providing a visible presence to our customer base and responding to customer feedback
    • Working with Senior Management and Human Resources throughout the recruitment and onboarding processes
    • Working closely with all terminal staff and safety committee members to ensure a safe environment for employees and passengers
    • Providing employees with feedback and coaching as needed
    • Working with janitorial/grounds staff to keep all Dartmouth Coach property and buildings clean and well maintained, which includes the bus terminal, overflow parking lot, Etna Road maintenance facilities, and the New London Park and Ride
    • Cover operational duties when the Operations Manager is off duty
    • Ensure smooth execution of our daily scheduled bus services between the Upper Valley and Boston and New York City
    • Point of contact with vendors for ordering products/scheduling services/hotel rooms
    • Assist with snow removal as needed, which may include nights and days off
    • Additional strategic responsibilities and/or special projects as needed to advance company goals

    Occasional off-schedule work is required as needed for emergencies, peak travel periods, and snow events.

    Qualified candidates will possess the following:

    • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred
    • At least 2 years supervisory experience
    • Strong internal and external customer service skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree. Business Administration concentration preferred
    • Snow plowing experience preferred
