Assistant Wrestling Coach jobs in the United States

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Wrestling Coach to join our team at Alpha Omega Wrestling to assist in coaching youth wrestling. The ideal candidate should have a passion for wrestling and coaching, with a focus on educating and mentoring athletes.

Responsibilities:

- Assist head coach in planning and conducting practice sessions for kids' wrestling club.

- Provide guidance and instruction to students in physical education activities specific to wrestling.

- Help students develop skills and techniques specific to wrestling.

- Assist in organizing and coordinating team events, tournaments, and competitions.

- Monitor student behavior and enforce discipline when necessary.

- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during practice sessions and events.

- Ensure safety and security of facility including lights being turned off and doors being locked at the end of each practice session.

- Ensure proper placement and cleanliness of wrestling mats at the beginning and end of each practice session and event.

- Help maintain equipment and ensure a safe sports environment.

Requirements:

- Experience working with children or students in a coaching or teaching capacity.

- Knowledge of the sports of wrestling, including a minimum of three years of personal high school wrestling experience.

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and other staff members.

- Ability to demonstrate and teach proper wrestling techniques and skills, as well as, the ability to lift up to 150 pounds.

- Patience and the ability to manage behavior effectively.

- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
