Jacobson Jarvis & Co PLLC is a CPA Firm located in La Verne, CA. We are seeking a full-time tax accountant to join our team. We provide tax and accounting services to both local and out-of-state clients. Qualifications:

• Current CPA/EA in California and able to represent clients before the IRS
• 3 years of individual and business tax preparation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel)
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Team-oriented and able to work independently
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong working knowledge of general accounting and accounting systems such as QuickBooks
• Demonstrates understanding of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
• Exhibits core values of integrity, accountability, leadership, and professionalism
• Experience with Intuit Pro Series/Lacerte is a plus
• Enjoys working in a collegiate environment and teaching others

Responsibilities:

• Client contact and relationship building
• Preparation of individual, trust, partnership, and corporation tax returns
• Review individual, trust, partnership, and corporation tax returns
• Tax planning and consulting for individuals and businesses
• Accounting assistance for small to medium-sized businesses
• Handle IRS and State tax notices
• Provide thorough tax research
• Payroll and Payroll tax compliance
• Financial Statement preparation
• Assist coworkers with tax questions and advice
