The Grant Services & Analysis Office (GS&A) is seeking Research Administrator Associate to join their Unit Support team which provides a variety of research administration activities (i.e. proposal preparation, sponsored and non-sponsored project/grant reconciliation). GS&A is a unit of the Medical School Office of Research and serves the research community, providing high-caliber resources, services, and administrative support related to sponsored project administration at Michigan Medicine. Grant Services & Analysis serves several functions for the Medical School and Michigan Medicine. GS&A serves as the central hub of research development, pre- and post-award administration of sponsored projects, and provides data analytics about research within the Medical School. GS&A designs and implements training and resources for faculty engaged in and research administration professionals that support research, with the goal of fostering a successful environment for obtaining and maintaining sponsored projects. GS&A provides enterprise-wide leadership, standards, and policies for the conduct of sponsored projects. In its role as a concierge for research administration, GS&A acts as a resource on how to support research development and administration across the U-M. In addition, the GS&A advocates for and adopts enterprise-level tools and resources to aid research administrators in the efficient, high-quality support of research.

The chosen candidate will coordinate both the pre-award and post-award research and financial tasks associated with grant and contract administration. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about learning, is able to work independently, and a reliable problem solver with a positive attitude.

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
