    • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Michigan (MI).
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Michigan (MI).
    • Limited License Psychologist (LLP) in Michigan (MI).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
    • Familiarity with waiver programs.

    Overview

    Our client, a recognized leader in the field, seeks an Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Supervisor to manage the clinical and administrative functions of the IDD program. This role involves supervision, crisis management, staff training, documentation review, and program oversight. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and leadership experience in serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide both standard and clinical supervision to staff members.
    • Manage and process crisis situations involving program staff and clients.
    • Maintain and provide training on electronic medical records (EMR).
    • Review treatment records for compliance and documentation improvement.
    • Manage departmental operations within the assigned span of control.
    • Participate in and lead quality improvement initiatives.
    • Conduct case program consultations with staff.
    • Ensure program compliance with requirements and maintain related systems.
    • Attend community meetings, conferences, and trainings.
    • Assess community needs and provide service when appropriate.
    • Work collaboratively with inter-departmental groups.
    • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate reports.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings and supervise team development.
    • Prepare and submit agency or funding source reports as required.
    • Work in consultation with the Total Quality Management Director.
    • Follow the professional code of ethics and all agency policies.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Schedule and Shift Details

    • Standard working hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Must work at least one late evening shift per week.
    • Additional hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required based on program needs.

    Travel

    • Occasional local travel required.

    Internal Notes

    • This is a supervisory role within the Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities program. Acceptable licensures include LMSW, LLP, or LPC with the State of Michigan. Full licensure is required.
    • Annual Salary: $69,420 - $93,321 (based on licensure, experience, and prior supervisory or therapist background).
    • Incentive pay is available.

    Position Requirements

    • Required:
    • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
    • LMSW, LLP, or LPC licensure in the State of Michigan.
    • At least 1 year of experience in examining, evaluating, and treating individuals with IDD diagnoses.
    • Experience using relevant treatment modalities.
    • Preferred:
    • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
    • Familiarity with waivers and EMR systems.
    • Candidates must meet the requirements for:
    • Children’s Mental Health Professional (CMHP) designation.
    • Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) designation within 120 days of hire.

    Additional Requirements

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to organize, innovate, and deliver culturally competent, non-judgmental care.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record.
    • Ability to appropriately handle crisis situations.
    • Must clear MDHHS Central Registry and criminal background checks.
