Ulster BOCES is seeking a Mathematics/Computer Science Teacher for a full-time, 10-month position at the Hudson Valley Pathways Academy/PTECH. Experience working with high school population preferred. Appropriate NYS Teacher Certification and fingerprinting required. Certification in Math required; dual certification in Math/Computer Science preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience and training. Salary starting at $63,112.00.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To help students plan, develop and execute such individual learning programs and experiences as well as contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Works with individuals and groups of students in devising sequences of educational experiences that may be expected to lead the students to achievement of their specified goals.
- Serves as a resource person to students pursuing individual learning programs.
- Meets regularly with students assigned for the purpose of counseling, encouraging and evaluating.
- Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for achieving stated objectives when formal instruction appears necessary or desirable.
- Meets with students and parents for conferences.
- Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom in a fair and just manner.
- Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
WORK SCHEDULE:
10 month schedule, September through June
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. New York State Teacher's Certification in a secondary education subject area.
2. Two-year minimum related classroom experience.
