Assoc. Professor - Dentistry teaches courses in the discipline area of dentistry. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Specifications Writer for Architectural/Engineering Construction Documents

  • SP A, an award-winning architecture, engineering and interior design practice, is seeking a Specifications Writer to provide technical support to the design team during the construction document phases on all projects.

    This position works in partnership with other in-house spec writers, architects and engineers to provide guidance on use of proposed building products and materials, their suitability for the intended application, and suggests alternatives when appropriate. The individual will be responsible for writing, editing, and coordinating specifications and related written construction documents for a variety of building types and construction types, including K-12, municipal, public safety, civic projects, corporate interiors and more. The position produces coordinated technical and Divisions 00 and 01 specifications and documents for projects and assists in assuring these requirements are fulfilled in construction phase of projects. They will assist teams in preparation of addenda and respond to construction administration staff to review submittals, substitution requests, and specifications related to RFI's.

    Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Individuals must have the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously and effectively communicate across disciplines at various design phases and levels of development. Basic knowledge of building materials and codes, construction techniques, as well as building material characteristics, performance, and compatibility is helpful.
