Injection Molding Process Technician

Job Overview
Our award-winning client is seeking a highly skilled Injection Molding Process Technician to join their team. This newly created role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of all molding processes. Key Responsibilities

• Safety First: Follow Safe Work Procedures and promote a safety-focused, injury-free environment.
• Audits: Conduct and participate in safety audits for new and existing secondary equipment.
• Mold Setup: Inspect, install, and set up new molds with precision and efficiency.
• Troubleshooting: Use technical skills to troubleshoot tooling, processes, and machinery, addressing existing problems and developing new solutions.
• Collaboration: Work with the Engineering team to develop new processes and improve productivity.
• Efficiency: Partner with Shift Process Technicians to enhance current processes.
• Quality Assurance: Utilize data from the Quality system to ensure process optimization and accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Experience: 5 years of practical experience in plastics injection molding.
• Technical Expertise: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; experience with new mold inspection, installation, and setup.
• Education: A two-year technical degree is preferred.
• Systems Knowledge: Proficiency with the IQMS system, basic PC literacy, and passing of Work Keys Mathematics and Technical aptitude tests are required.

Technical Skills Required

• Expertise in Plastics Injection Molding.
• Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting.
• New Mold Inspection, Installation, and Setup.

Shift Details

• Swing Shift: Alternates weekly between 7 am–3 pm and 3 pm–11 pm.
• 3rd Shift: 11 pm–7 am.
