    DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR - FABRICATION

    Our Award Winning Client is seeking a dedicated Department Supervisor to join their Fabrication Department in Bloomsburg, PA. This is a full-time onsite position with paid relocation available.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise a team of 2-4 Supervisors, providing guidance and support in their roles within the department.
    • Drive the implementation of ABS, Process Management, and TPM methodologies to optimize departmental performance.
    • Engage employees in department initiatives and provide coaching and training as needed, including weekend and back shift responsibilities.
    • Share and implement best practices across departments to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
    • Plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for improving working conditions.
    • Conduct performance management activities, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions when necessary.
    • Lead problem analysis and resolution efforts to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain standardized work instructions (SWIs) for employees and leadership.
    • Ensure compliance with labor agreements, work rules, and standards.

    Key Objectives

    • Enhance safety and employee relations while increasing efficiency, productivity, and quality.
    • Develop departmental A3s aligned with organizational objectives.
    • Foster communication and collaboration with other production and support departments.
    • Provide regular reporting on departmental performance and review production schedules and staffing requirements.
    • Implement processes to prevent EHS incidents and promote a safe working environment.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Minimum of 3 years of managerial and/or supervisory experience.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum of 3 years of managerial and/or supervisory experience of salaried employees in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with project management and leading continuous improvement/lean manufacturing initiatives.
    • Experience in Extrusion, Anodizing, Shipping, Material Handling, Paint, and/or Fabrication.
    • Proficiency in data analytics/statistics for decision-making in plant operations.
    • Experience in Quality Management of manufactured goods.
    • Experience in creating and measuring key performance indicators (KPIs).
