Assoc. Professor - Geological Sciences teaches courses in the discipline area of geological sciences. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Geological Sciences provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Geological Sciences typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     The Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE) at the University of Michigan (U-M) invites applications for faculty positions at all levels (assistant, associate, and full professor) for an appointment beginning September 2024..

    Required Qualifications*

    You have or are near completion of a Ph.D. and demonstrate a commitment to high-quality research and evidence of teaching potential.

    We will consider candidates in all areas related to Industrial and Operations Engineering, including Operations Research, Human Factors & Ergonomics, Data Analytics, and related disciplines.
