Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Job Description:
• Teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Finance, Statistics, Precalculus, and AP Calculus AB to eager young minds.
• Instill in students a love for mathematics.
• Open students' hearts, minds, and souls to all that is good, beautiful, and true through the teaching of mathematics.
• Use creative and varied pedagogical techniques to create a fun, ordered, and fruitful learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with the instructional leader and members of the mathematics department to leverage best practices and build a passion for mathematics at the school.
• Serve as a faculty mentor to one of FGR's House Groups.
• Be ready to support the mission of the school with other duties as assigned.
• And naturally, prepare lesson plans; take attendance; give assignments and tests; grade student participation and performance; discipline students; and meet with students and parents as needed to discuss any issues.
Necessary Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and EX Certification. Preferred: An M.A. in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years' experience teaching Mathematics at the high school level preferred.
• Proven ability to manage a classroom of 20 students.
• Skilled at developing and delivering lesson plans that engage students and lead to high academic achievement.
• Passionate about forming intentional disciples of Jesus Christ.
