The ideal candidate will possess experience in academic leadership, including curriculum design, mentorship, professional evaluation of Math faculty, and strong administrative skills. The Math Department Chair will teach three sections of Math. In addition to teaching, applicants should expect to be actively involved in all aspects of the School's programs, including the school's residential and co-curricular programs. A bachelor's degree in a closely related field is required and a master's degree or higher is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation the academic curriculum for the department
Mentor, supervise, and support all members of the department
Provide for/arrange coverage for academic responsibilities within the department
Organize and promote department-specific professional development opportunities
Engage in the hiring process of math faculty
Meet administrative needs of the department
Attend weekly Department Chair meeting
Requirements:
Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Degree preferred
Minimum 5 years classroom teaching experience, demonstrated leadership experience preferred

Proficiency in all academic areas within the department from Algebra 1 through AP Calculus BC
Ability to mentor faculty within the department
