Job Title: Director of Nursing

Summary:
Our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized healthcare provider with a history of winning numerous awards, is seeking a Director of Nursing. This is a full-time onsite position with paid relocation available. The ideal candidate will possess supervisory experience in a Skilled Facility setting and hold a valid RN license in Michigan.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the nursing program in accordance with regulations and organizational policies.
• Conduct daily unit rounds and oversee general management functions.
• Coordinate recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff.
• Facilitate meetings and committees to address resident care issues.
• Develop and manage systems to ensure clinical competencies.
• Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating staff education programs.
• Initiate studies to evaluate nursing services' effectiveness and costs.
• Prepare and manage department budget, ensuring financial adherence.
• Investigate and resolve concerns raised by residents, families, and employees.
• Ensure completion of annual competency evaluations and performance reviews.
• Proactively address survey and standards of care issues.
• Plan and guide professional development of nursing staff.
• Assure adequate nursing staff availability based on facility and census requirements.
• Collect and compile data and reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in facility Performance Improvement Program.
• Assure compliance with clinical protocols, nursing policies, and procedures.
• Assume full responsibilities for the Center in the absence of the Administrator.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licenses/Certification: Valid RN license in Michigan; Valid CPR certification.
• Experience: Three years of experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or equivalent supervisory nursing experience.

Skills and Certifications:

• RN Licensed in Michigan
• Long Term Care Experience as DON
