Assoc. Professor - Physical Therapy teaches courses in the discipline area of physical therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Physical Therapy provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Physical Therapy typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. 1. Work under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist.
2. Position patients on heat, ice, game ready and exercise equipment.
3. Set up modalities with patients.
4. Supervise patient exercises.
5. Sanitize treatment rooms, equipment and tables.
6. Monitor and restock supply inventory.
7. Perform laundry duties; washing, drying, folding and replacing linens.
8. Manage assigned therapist's schedule.
