Answer phones in a professional, friendly, helpful manner, assessing the needs of each caller. Must work well in a team environment with co-workers to solve problems.
Accurately update patient demographic information in the computer.
Book appointments and manage doctors schedule.
Confirm insurance eligibility and billing information.
Make secondary appointments for referred patients.
Collect fees for exams, glasses, and contacts and accurately enter into the computer.
Assist in taking contact lens orders and distributing contacts to patients.
Create exam records and assist in preparing patients for examination.
Willing to learn and assimilate into established office environment.
Willing to do whatever office tasks are necessary to keep the office running smoothly.
2 year office experience or specific educational training required.
Bilingual English/Portuguese language helpful.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
