Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Position Title: Electronics Assembly Associate
    Position Summary: Kimball Physics is currently seeking a full-time Assembly Associate to join our electronics team. This position is responsible for assembling systems and sub-assemblies to precise specifications. The applicant should be highly motivated with an ability to prioritize and work independently once trained.
    Responsibilities:
    • Preparation of intricate components and use of small tools.
    • Assembly of components per routers, drawings, and written procedures.
    • Alignment of systems to meet specifications. Alignment of assemblies and in-process testing.
    • Processing and final testing of assemblies. Preparation of assemblies for shipment with supervision or in conjunction with other Assembly Specialists.
    • Performs various types of hand soldering, including surface mount and thru-hole.
    • Utilizes strict attention to detail with a focus on quality.
    • Self-directed and confident to sufficiently work unsupervised.
    • May be required to help in other departments depending on workload.
    Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
    • Experience preferred.

    • Results-oriented and committed to quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
    • Problem solving capabilities, with supervision as required.
    • Adaptable, flexible and open-minded.
    • Detail-oriented with good organizational and planning and time management skills.

    Working Conditions:
    • Works independently as well as collaboratively.
    • Changing work demands, requiring flexibility.
    • Sitting 80% of shift.
    • 1st shift, full-time, flexible schedule.
