Job Description:
Join an innovative and energized faculty dedicated to the preparation of teacher candidates, leaders and change agents focused on school reform and social justice. The Annsley Frazier Thornton School of Education at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky invites applications for a 9-month, on-site, tenure-track position (rank at Assistant or Associate level based on qualifications) with a start date of August 16th, 2024. Applications accepted until the position is filled with a priority deadline of March 29th, 2024.
Position responsibilities include teaching in-person and online courses that include K-12 special education methods in our undergraduate and master's initial certification programs, along with courses focused on research methods in our advanced and doctoral programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent in teaching, research agenda that involves work in special education and/or teacher preparation, interest in securing external funding to support program and research initiatives, and interest in mentoring doctoral candidates. Our new colleague will also demonstrate dedication to community engagement/partnerships, participation in all school accreditation activities and academic advising, mentorship of doctoral and master's students, and service to candidate's professional field, university, and community. To qualify for appointment at the Associate Professor level, candidates must currently hold or have held that rank at a comparable institution.
