    The Associate Director of International Recruitment assists with developing all aspects of communication, marketing, strategy, and planning for University of Maine’s international recruitment. The AD identifies new growth opportunities to foster a diverse international student community. The person will travel within the U. S. and abroad to attract and subsequently enroll international students in line with institutional goals and priorities. Typical hiring range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Completed bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum of three years of progressive experience in international recruitment, admissions and/or enrollment management.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in non-degree, undergraduate and graduate international recruitment is essential.
    • Experience evaluating international educational credentials.
    • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of equity and inclusion in international recruitment and admissions.
    • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; including excellent public speaking skills.
    • Proficient in at least one additional language; multiple languages a strong asset.
    • Experience working and communicating with non-native speakers of English.
    • Excellent computer skills, social media knowledge, and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to travel locally, requiring a valid US driver's license.
    • Ability to travel internationally, requiring a valid passport.

    Preferred:

    • A master’s degree from an accredited institution.
    • Supervisory experience of professional staff.
    • Experience with Peoplesoft, Salesforce, Perceptive Content and other admissions and recruitment related technologies.
