Associate Bursar has responsibility of one or several aspects of institutional funds. Oversees the operations of student financial services, billing and receivables, and cashiering functions of the university/college. Being an Associate Bursar ensures compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and standard accounting procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Associate Bursar typically reports to Bursar. The Associate Bursar manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely and efficiently load rolls on the machine per roll handling procedures.
• Keep glue application and all machine settings adjusted as needed.
• Assist with filling out safety, quality, and production sheets to be turned in every shift.
• Assist stacker with keeping pallets caught up.
• Keep a clean and safe work area.
• Completely clean work area at the end of each shift.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Safety training a plus.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Ability to read and write English is required.
• Ability to read a ruler is required.
• Heavy repetitive lifting for up to 10 hour shift.
• Good coordination to hang large rolls on the machine using Big Joe walk behind movers.
• Forklift experience would be a plus for pulling pallets of paper rolls from the warehouse.
• Clear communication.
• Good teamwork .
• Be willing to work 5 to 6 days a week as needed.
