    We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our purchasing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of evaluating, negotiating, and purchasing products to maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demands. The Buyer will play a key role in optimizing costs and building strong relationships with vendors.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Manages the entire purchasing process and ensures inventory levels for product lines are kept at a proper balance 
    • Conducts margin analysis to guarantee margin requirements are met and profitability is maximized
    • Monitors vendor performance including product flow, delivery timelines, order requisition 
    • Confers with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
    • Performs price maintenance on lines to ensure vendor and customer pricing files are maintained correctly
    • Conducts pricing analysis to ensure market competiveness 
    • Builds and maintains strong vendor relationships
    • Works closely with accounts payable and warehouse receiving to ensure products are processed correctly   
    • Maintains and oversees item attributes and images to enhance the tools available to our sales team and customers
    • Assists in determining annual budgets for product lines
    • Special projects and purchasing support as needed

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
    • Minimum 2 years purchasing experience in distribution channel preferred
    • Knowledge and understanding of how to calculate financial data
