  • Job Summary

    Responsible for the leadership, management and execution of the daily financial management of the company including preparation financial reports, capital and operational budgets, projections and financial feasibility studies.  Maintains lease financing and capital financing activities.  Responsibilities include revenue cycle, admissions, health information management, finance and accounting, materials management and information technology.  A member of the executive management team.  Assists in the company’s organizational development, strategic planning, and operational improvement.

     

    Salary Range $140,000-$180,000

     

    Reports to:  Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

     

    Essential Job Functions

     

    1. Financial Strategy & Planning:
      1. Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and goals.
      2. Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes to ensure sound financial management and sustainable growth.
      3. Provide financial guidance and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors to support decision-making and optimize financial performance.
    2. Financial Management & Reporting:
      1. Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, revenue cycle management, billing, and financial reporting.
      2. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies and procedures.
      3. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets and mitigate risks.
    3. Operational Excellence:
      1. Collaborate with operational leaders to optimize processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance patient care delivery.
      2. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and operational improvements to drive overall organizational performance.
      3. Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor operational and financial performance.
    4. Strategic Leadership:
      1. Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the executive team and departmental leaders on financial matters.
      2. Participate in strategic planning initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and other growth opportunities to support organizational objectives.
      3. Foster a culture of financial accountability, transparency, and integrity throughout the organization.
    5. Team Development and Management:
      1. Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
      2. Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that aligns with the values of the facility: Excellence, Collaboration, Empowerment, Community and Integrity.
      3. Foster strong cross-functional relationships and communication channels across the organization.

    Demonstrates the spirit of the philosophy, mission, and values of the organization through words and actions and implements them into departmental processes, programs, and the working environment.

    1. Applies the principles and values of customer service and continuous quality improvement while performing day to day activities of the position.
    2. Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care, personnel and strategic issues. Adheres to Confidentiality Policy.
    3. Maintains positive working relationships and fosters cooperative work environment. Adheres to the hospital’s Guidelines for Appropriate Conduct in the HR Manual.

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
    • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or MBA (Master of Business Administration) strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on financial management and operations.
    • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
    • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, reimbursement systems, and revenue cycle management.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, management multiple priorities effectively.
    • Commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and professionalism.
    • Healthcare Experience Required

    Working Conditions/Environmental Exposures


    Exposure to environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infections/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts.  Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
