    About the Product Organization at Cognite

    Product is the division responsible for developing Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) as a robust and scalable platform for solving industrial data problems at Cognite. The industrial data problem is at the heart of transforming asset-intensive industries to be safer, more sustainable and more profitable. Cognite’s Cognite Data Fusion makes the operational data available at scale and adds value to the data through data processing. This enables asset-intensive industries to make data-driven decisions. Our platform is built on many different technologies, each good at solving various challenges.


    To build the best possible product, we believe in autonomous teams with developers, designers and product managers working closely together. Our teams are working on building the next-generation industrial data platform and applications across many different industries, such as Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Power & Utility.     Your mandate and key responsibilities
    • Ensure that Cognite’s technology foundation gives us a competitive advantage 
    • Deliver on the strategy of Cognite and Product together with the leadership in the Product division
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders, customers and partners to develop the technology strategy of Cognite
    • You will lead the team of architects in the Office of the CTO
    • Define and own the golden path for technologies used at Cognite
    • Define and own the architecture principles for development at Cognite
    • Represent Cognite and its technology to customers, partners, analysts, technologists and the market at large
    • Ensure that our technology debt is well-managed and we continuously work on paying down the right parts of it


    Key Qualifications and Experiences
    • Experience being a hands on developer early in your career
    • 5 years of experience as an architect or similar senior technical role
    • Deep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud technologies, AI/ML, algorithms and data structures
    • You are a team player that takes ownership and sets a clear direction for your division and the people that report to you
    • You seek to make an impact for  the customer, the company and the people you work with 
    • You never give up and are relentless in your pursuit of building something great
    • You are excited about technology and like sharing your knowledge with others, for example through talks at conferences
    • You have experience building data or AI-focused products
    • Plus for SaaS, B2B and industrial experience
    • Plus for edge or OT experience
    • Plus for experience building platforms for external developers
