    Job Description

    The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.

    As an IT Business Analyst, the employee performs a complete range of ITAM hardware system analyst assignments including, but not limited to, designing, developing, testing, and implementing ITAM hardware systems and applications. Program. Responsibilities include conducting data analysis from the over 12 systems relating to the asset management life cycle. Developing, managing and maintaining quality assurance reporting. This position will assist in maintaining accurate inventory for SOM IT assets including, but not limited to workstations, servers, network gear, etc.

    This position is the reporting lead for the Hardware IT Asset Management team. Responsibilities include coordinating ITAM reporting activities, coordinating program documentation and document review, and program administration. The employee will coordinate communication with internal and external staff to ensure documentation is timely and with appropriate technical content. This resource will develop recommendations to leadership. The overall work may lead to policy change or implementation, program development and in-depth reporting. This position will send Hardware Asset Management training material to users and assist analysts with ITAM processes and procedures.

    • Knowledge of design methods and support utilities.
    • Knowledge of the fundamental principles, theories, techniques, and methodologies of systems analysis.
    • Ability to prepare detailed written instructions and documentation.
    • Ability to analyze instructions and data.
    • Ability to gather and analyze facts, define problems, and devise solutions.
    • Ability to effectively make oral and written reports and presentations and prepare clear and concise graphs and charts.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with systems users.
    • Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and conduct correspondence related to the work.
    • Ability to communicate technical terminology at a level appropriate to the audience.

    SIGNING BONUS
    :
    This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

    Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

    Alternate Education and Experience

    Information Technology Programmer/Analyst P11
    Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.

    OR

    Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.

    Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

    Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
