Associate Dean of Business jobs in Akron, IN
Associate Dean of Business assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of business. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Business provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Business typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Business typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. POSITION: Dean of Students - Elementary
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
STARTING DATE: Fall 2024
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher, with coursework/background in education and/or leadership.
- Strong personal integrity and professional ethics.
- Ability to develop/sustain positive working relationships with students, staff, and the school community.
- Demonstrates collaborative leadership in current position, preferably with related experience.
- Visible leader with excellent communication skills.
- Supportive team player.
- Solid and consistent disciplinarian.
- Knowledge and understanding of MiTSS and PBIS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the building principal with the overall administration of the building.
- Administer student discipline per the Student Handbook and Michigan Revised School Code.
- Oversee student attendance per the Student Handbook and Michigan Revised School Code.
- Provide student guidance and support as needed in cooperation with teachers, the school therapist, and the principal.
- Provide lunchroom, classroom, and hallway support.
- Provide management of PBIS plan/team.
SALARY: Salary and benefits based on experience and qualifications. This is an 11-month position.
