Associate Dean of Graduate Programs assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of a graduate program. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Graduate Programs provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Graduate Programs typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. - Inspects all assigned rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair
- Provides efficient and objective feedback to room attendants to drive efficiency and quality within the housekeeping department
- Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag and designated PPE
- Trains associates on safety standards and enforce those standards on a consistent basis. Identifies associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately. Completes accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents
- Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning
- Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift
- Perform opening and closing shift duties
- Notifies maintenance department of maintenance repairs necessary
- Monitor cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Other duties as assigned
