Associate Dean of Law assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of law. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Law provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Law typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Law typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Associate Dean of Law typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Associate at Walton Law Firm, P.C. The Associate will be responsible for managing personal injury case files, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, assisting with case investigation and preparation, and attending court hearings and client meetings. Additionally, the Associate will negotiate and litigate on behalf of our clients. This role involves close collaboration with the firm’s attorneys and staff to effectively serve clients in East Alabama and West Georgia.
Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Law degree from an accredited institution
- Admission to the state bar
- In good standing with the Alabama State Bar
- 5-7 years experience preferred
- Experience in handling plaintiff personal injury cases preferred
- Dedication to providing outstanding client service
