Associate Dean of Sciences jobs in Springfield, OH
Associate Dean of Sciences assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of science. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Sciences provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Sciences typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Sciences typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Location: Triad Middle and High School
Qualifications:
- Administrative License or Degree in Athletic Administration is preferred.
- Head coaching experience at the varsity level preferred.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
- Current application, license and transcripts on file in the board office.
- Ability to work with staff, students and parents in a positive manner.
- Ability to take guidance and direction from Principal and Superintendent.
- Participates as an active member of the management team.
- Upholds board policies and follows administrative guidelines/procedures.
- Promotes a professional image of the school district.
- Has comprehensive knowledge of interscholastic athletic program regulations.
- Effective organizational, planning and project management skills.
- Encourages program innovations and pursues funding opportunities.
- Prepares grant/foundation applications.
- Implements funded proposals and complies with reporting requirements.
- BCI and FBI background checks will be required of approved candidate.
