Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of an undergraduate program. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     The Assistant to the Office of Undergraduate Education supports the mission of Baylor University and the School of Education by managing day-to-day administrative operations. Assistant duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office and supports faculty and staff through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. 

    The candidate selected for this role will have the following qualifications:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
    • Proficiency with technology applications such as the Microsoft suite of applications, graphic design digital tools, and applicable databases; Preferred - experience with Baylor University systems.
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to collaborate and work with a team
    • Maintain a proactive approach to organizing and completing tasks

    An Associate's Degree, three years of relevant experience and an active Christian faith are required. A Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience is preferred.

    A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

    Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

    What You Will Do

    • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
    • Responsible for event planning and meeting setup and implementation
    • Provide administrative support for the Director of Recruitment and First-Year Experience
    • Receive and process scholarship requests/applications as needed
    • Prepare and maintain records as required by the administrative office
    • Perform all other duties as assigned to support the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education
    • Manage duties accurately and deliver with high quality and in a timely manner
    • Comply with all SOE policies
    • Use technology applications to generate reports, prepare meeting agendas, transcribe minutes from meetings, create presentations, create and organize resource documents, and other requested tasks.
    • Provide effective coordination of activities and professional communication with administrators, faculty, staff, and other constituents
    • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission 
    • Ability to comply with University policies  
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
