The Children's Hospital Foundation is hiring an Associate Director, Strategic Projects, who will report directly to the president of UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation and will play a significant role in managing strategic planning activities, strategic communication tactics and content on behalf of the Foundation President. The Associate Director, Strategic Projects will also execute special projects related to the Foundation's fundraising efforts. They will serve as a member of the Foundation's Executive Office to develop and disseminate internal and external communications and be the project leader for strategic planning and special projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the creation and dissemination of the president's and the senior leadership team's internal and external communications related to large-scale campaigns, strategic planning and major growth initiatives.
• Support the Foundation president and senior leadership to manage strategic planning efforts.
• Encourage a culture of responsibility among senior leadership regarding review and revision of their teams' strategic plans.
• Partner with the vice presidents and Foundation departments to maintain consistency in messaging across all strategic and executive communications including acknowledgement letters, campaign collateral, presentations and speaking engagements.
• Oversee the creation and dissemination of internal and external communications related to the Foundation's regional fundraising efforts and growth strategies.
• Support strategic planning efforts, coordinating progress reports, developing case for support and strategic fundraising materials and disseminating communication to stakeholders.
• Prepare executive communication including annotated agendas, slide decks, presenter talking points, meeting recap documents, and other collateral for meetings led by the Foundation president.
• Collaborate with Foundation teams to create content for stewardship and cultivation events by writing speaker remarks, enhancing program flow, and coordinating the implementation of multimedia elements into event programs.
• Partner with the Strategic Engagement team and the Editorial Committee to curate external donor communications; identify hospital news, research updates, and patient stories to share with high-level donors to foster their ongoing engagement.
• Serve as a ghostwriter on behalf of the Foundation president as needed.
