Associate Human Resources Director directs the human resources staff that implement and manage policies and programs that reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. Being an Associate Human Resources Director oversees processes and programs that support employees and company operations, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Administers an HRIS or other system to facilitate processes, provide data, and report on HR activity. Additionally, Associate Human Resources Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Associate Human Resources Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Associate Human Resources Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is looking for a Director, Human Resources, to partner with the Global Product & Technology (P&T) leveraged capability group within the Equipment Technology and Services (ET&S) business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building company culture, building organizational capability, strategic partnering with business leaders and supervisors, and helping people and businesses transform. This is a critical role with an opportunity to make significant and immediate impact, especially in helping with the building and optimization of these critical capabilities to advance the business vision, drive key strategies, and achieve desired results. You will serve as a key member of the ET&S HR leadership team, reporting to the VP of HR, for the ET&S business.

    Location: This role will be based in Wichita, KS and is eligible for relocation assistance.

    What You Will Do

    • Create a competitive advantage for the ET&S business through advancing the understanding and application of Principle Based Management across the business
    • Partner with ET&S business and ET&S HR leadership group to guide the overall direction of both the ET&S business and the ET&S HR network through vision, priorities, and strategies
    • Own the strategic plan development of building a competitively advantaged talent position alongside the Global Product & Technology leaders
    • Deploy strong economic thinking capabilities (financial acumen, risk optimization, marginal analysis, etc.)
    • Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to capability leadership groups
    • Enable the attainment of business strategy and the advancement of business vision by working with and through others to effectively apply our management philosophy framework
    • Develop and implement HR strategies that enable attainment and advancement of business strategy, including the areas of talent, organizational change, organizational design, incentives, etc.

    Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

    • Experience applying talent management processes (selection, performance management, talent planning, incentives, etc.) within an organization as a supervisor or HR partner
    • Experience developing and implementing strategies that enable the attainment and advancement of strategic business objectives
    • Experience leveraging and building preferred partnerships with other capabilities to achieve overall business objectives
    • Experience influencing and coaching executive leaders and mid-level managers within a business environment
    • Ability to travel as needed, both domestic and international

    What Will Put You Ahead

    • Experience applying Principle Based Management within a leadership role
    • Experience designing, building, and enhancing senior leadership teams and elevating leader performance.
    • Prior experience influencing or leading in a leveraged capability.
    • Prior experience supporting the start-up of new organizations, teams, or capabilities.
    • Prior experience transforming organizations, teams, or capabilities.
    • Prior experience supporting a global organization.
    • Prior experience working within a matrix or capability-based organization.
